Confederations Cup: Chile's Vidal sure of victory over Portugal, slams Ronaldo

Ahead of their Confederations Cup semi-final clash against Portugal, Chile talisman Arturo Vidal has expressed confidence of his side going past the Euro champions to the final of the tournament holding in Russia.
The Copa America winners finished second in Group B after securing a 1-1 draw against Australia on Sunday, to now face Group A’s first-placed Portugal in the last four of the eight-team competition.
But Vidal predicts that his side will be facing Germany in Sunday’s final, though Germany will have to beat Mexico in the other semifinal clash to advance.
“I have already told my Bayern Munich team-mate [and Germany international] Joshua Kimmich that we will meet again in the final,” Vidal told reporters.

The Bayern midfielder went on to hit at Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of the encounter scheduled to take place at the Kazan Arena on Wednesday.
“Cristiano is a smart ass! For me he does not exist,” he said.
The Real Madrid star, whose future has been a thing of speculations, has scored twice and made an assist for Portugal so far in the tournament.
And Vidal, who last encountered Ronaldo in the semifinal of last season’s Champions League, will go head-to-head again with the four-time Ballon d’Or winner come Wednesday.
