As if Real Madrid’s squad wasn’t overstocked with world-class talent to begin with, they actually found themselves with two Cristiano Ronaldos on the pitch at one point during Saturday’s La Liga clash with Getafe.
Indeed, a pitch invader came running onto the pitch at the Alfonso Perez and made a beeline for Ronaldo before eventually being rounded up by security and escorted back from when he came.
It turns out the opportunistic fan simply wanted to have a quick chat with his idol, while dressed exactly like him.
Madrid escaped with the three points with Karim Benzema opening scoring in the 39th minute. Jorge Molina equalised at the break; but Ronaldo scored the winner in the 85 minute.
Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane had rested five players who are likely to start on Tuesday against Tottenham in the Champions League, but with Isco and Luka Modric on the bench and Raphael Varane, Keylor Navas and Casemiro all sidelined they dominated their local neighbours in the first half. Gareth Bale also missed this one as Madrid looked to close the gap on Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.
